Visit Southam Town Council’s website for information about the Council’s role and activities, newsletters, grants, a list of our current Town Councillors, links to ongoing planning applications, and bags of useful local information about the Town and its administration.  The Town Council publishes a Newsletter twice per annum, and is the first port of call for residents who need advice or information relating to the Town.  Southam Town Council considers grant applications twice per annum – in February and September.

 

  • Southam Town Centre Annual Benchmarking Report, and Year on Year Comparison Report

Volunteers from Southam First and Southam Civic Ideas Forum undertake a survey of the town every Spring which is then compiled into a report for year on year comparisons.  These are public documents, and are a way of measuring the ‘health’ of the town centre in terms of its footfall, occupancy of retail units, car parking availability, markets, types of businesses, business confidence and why people use the town centre.  The two reports are available to download here:

Southam Library provides the town with a welcoming and informative environment, with up to date computer equipment and loan services.  The Library moved into brand new accommodation in Tithe Place on High Street in early 2016.

Stratford-on-Avon District Council is the administrative district and planning authority for south Warwickshire, including Southam and its nearby villages. Visit their website for comprehensive information about our District Council’s role, policies and support services for both residents and businesses.  Stratford District Council’s website also includes full information about planning applications in our area, and provides online, interactive services for residents in the District

At County level, Warwickshire County Council provides services and information about health, education, highways, libraries, policing, fire & rescue.
