- Are you interested in local history?
- Do you have an antique or vintage item and want to know what it’s worth?
The volunteers of Southam Heritage Collection have invited several important local history groups to join them at a local History Fayre / Exhibition and Valuation Day inside Southam St James Church on Saturday May 20th. The event will feature many fascinating displays about Southam and surrounding areas, plus wartime memorabilia from the Home Guard, Family History experts to help with your queries, and a book signing by local author and historian, Alan Griffin.
Alongside the heritage displays, a VALUATION SERVICE will be provided by Leamington based auctioneers & valuers, Locke & England. Bring along your antiques and collectables and find out just how much they are really worth! (Valuations cost £1 per item – proceeds go towards covering the cost of the event.)
Refreshments will be available – provided by the St James Church volunteers, and if you are interested in the iconic 14th Century church building, that dominates Southam’s landscape, now’s your chance to have a good look around -and even a guided tour!
Free Entry – come along, browse the displays, have a cuppa in this lovely old building, and chat to your friendly local history buffs.
